Dan Broten

SENIOR VICE-PRESIDENT AND CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Dan Broten serves as the Bank’s Senior Vice-President and Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the development, DevOps, infrastructure and cloud platforms, operations, and cybersecurity for the Bank. With a passion for designing, building, and launching innovative and disruptive products, Dan has built his career on using customer centric design and modern digital technologies to bring about real change.

Dan brings a combined experience to this role; one that blends large scale, enterprise technology transformations with start-up agility and product development. His senior leadership experiences include all aspects of planning, delivering, and continuously managing and improving technology organizations, methodologies, and solutions.

Prior to his current role, Dan was Vice-President of Technology at Equitable where he was accountable for building and operating the Bank's digital and cloud technologies. Before joining Equitable, Dan worked with Deloitte Digital, Bank of Montreal, and was the Technology co-founder of Hurrier (acquired by Foodora).

Dan graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Systems Design Engineering.
